IT’S A BRANDING ISSUE, IT’S A BREEDING ISSUE, PITCHING ‘THE FINEST’ …

We're celebrating ... the most exacting year. The year after many, that starts to bring things together.

In colour, in metal, in carbon, in active airflow, in camber & toe-in, in glorious V8 music, & in changing tempos. We see, we experience, simple essential automotive joy.

This Nichols Brand producing ... something for 'finest' drivers, whether appreciative or critical girlfriends, partners, or devout apex-clipper racers.

Being born in the analogue age, demanding simple, pure, performance.

Working, hurdling the parameters ever higher single mindedly ... with partners who know more.

Yes true, here, we may be pushing water up hill, working against the flow... when it may be working against that 'essential' lo-grade white goods direction of simply getting to the next place, siting in the queue, whatever … we were never bred for that.

Working instead, in the super-qualitave issues involved in creating ‘the finest' sporting motor car … ‘fine’ such an interesting state, turning the bland automotive mechanical into original, creative  art & science, mostly unseen, but producing physical response & high performance of the highest, handling of the classiest order. Working balance, tactility, response, silky operation, reaction ... just for the sake of it. We have learned.

Through the seat of our pants, we learned; through a steering wheel there not merely to change direction, but to transmit the final ounces of grip available in hi-definition feel, no matter what the weight transfer; through a throttle response to be perfectly and delicately blended against a treacherous road surface. Sensations, we learned. Vision cues, they tested, proprioceptors examined, bare faced temperatures felt, air thicknesses assimilating, challenging continuously strength required, positive but delicate, sometimes athletic, leverages.

Steve Nichols learned. John Minett learned. The Board learned. Qualifications so brutal …

With an intensity and now a natural bred relaxed attitude, without deadly world championship points at stake. The Team learned ... and communicated through materials, acing their experience to produce performance high or low, of the highest most tactile concentrate.

Budgets maybe working against us, so imperative becomes 'right first time'. But. T’was always ever thus, frustrating hurdle after hurdle; no barrier - that's what they learned and now produce.

Actually, now with engineers similarly experienced in accurately, acutely and exquisitely, producing more and applying what they learned for us and for you. Wellingborough it seems such a hot spot of horsepower & thoroughbred breeding, manufacture, our Chairman declares ...

But the joy, the artistic demands of care - of fabricating, of laying up, of assembling, specing, colourisation - extending to the joy of ownership.

I can tell you - composition, finding, improving, first hand, such joyous education, dedication. The result, ‘the finest’ engineering absolutes. Judge for yourself.

This isn't art to put on the wall nor mantel piece nor exhibit in a stuffy museum (though ...). The is art that involves you, every trick and fitness to enjoy on controlling motion, finding braking points, the distribution of personally controlled forward transfer & clout, anticipation and challenge to safely negotiate, with all diligences, touring too, so clearly rewarded.

The ownership pride in an engineering masterpiece thus achieved in 7 litres of enormous commotion, clothed in a fitted body around you but a featherweight automobile of under 900 kg.; you can produce melodies, speeds & rhythms, you’re describing arcs of power, hold and balance, temper surface to tyre. Opening those garage doors Saturday morning, planning the route and going ... travel has never been so super-polished, involving so romantic. What an absolute prospect.

Journies become open air experiences; emotional & memorable achievements. You will remember that time that date that destination ... each & everyone ...
